Botulinum toxin type A — available under the brand names Botox® (Allergan/AbbVie) and Dysport® (Galderma) — is a purified bacterial protein that acts at the neuromuscular junction. Facial analysis and injection mapping
Dr. Fathi observes the patient in motion and at rest, assesses muscle strength and dominance, evaluates asymmetries, and determines the optimal number of units and injection points for the individual anatomy.

Zone preparation
The treatment area is cleansed with an antiseptic solution. Topical anaesthetic cream (EMLA) is applied 30 to 45 minutes before injection for patients who prefer it.

Precision injection
Ultra-fine needles (30G to 31G) are used to deliver micro-doses of toxin at precisely mapped points. The patient is seated with the face relaxed. The injection phase takes 10 to 20 minutes.
